Your area of awareness expands, encompassing not only this village but the nearest other three as well. Yet despite nearly quadrupling your awareness's radius, you still can't find your son. His ki would easily stand out among the vastly inferior power of the Namekian people, who the strongest of which have a powerlevel of maybe five digits. You do sense the warrior from the day before, who's far stronger than the others but not yet six digits, and another power. It isn't as strong, but you can sense there's something MORE to it. Much like Raven, or Kars, or the late Guardian.
“That must be this 'Great Elder' he was talking about.” you think to yourself, yet still feel disappointed you can't find Chilli. And at the limits of your range, you decide to end it, and instead reach out to your son telepathically. “Hey Chilli, everything okay?”
“Dad? You're awake?” he replies almost immediately. “Is everyone else still asleep?”
“Yeah they're all still out. Where did you head off to?” you ask him, curious. “Head on home?”
“No, I'm still here. Actually, I'm with that guy Kazuma and his team out a ways from the villages.” he tells you. “I have to give him credit, the man made a pretty smart wish. Going for infinite Skill Points was pretty clever.”
“Skill points?” you ask, not knowing what he means. So Chilli explains to you about the adventurer cards and how they work, leveling up and gaining something called skill points to magically acquire new magical techniques. And the way your son explains it, Kazuma has what was called the weakest class, Adventurer. One that doesn't have its own skills. But because of that he can learn the skills of anyone. He apparently learned telepathy and telekinesis from Freeza when he showed him the skills, now he can take a theoretically infinite number of techniques from everyone. “Oh, I see. So, you've been seeing which of your moves he can learn?”
“Exactly.” you son replies. “Seems he can't take any Death magic, but that's to be expected. Hey, is Caulifla up? I was wondering if he could copy her magic as well.”
“You'll have to ask her when she's up, she's still out right now.” you answer, looking at your sleeping daughter's face and feel a smile come to your own. “But are you sure you want to give him a whole bunch of your techniques?”
“It's fine. His class puts several restrictions on the skills it picks up, including affecting power output.” your son tells him. “But in exchange for my skills I'm getting him to help me reinforce the village's defenses when we go back.”
