"Bikers? I've heard of some of our guys encountering those types. You mean those guys came from Brenda?"
"Who knows," he shrugs. "Lots of those types out here. But yeah, might've been. Anyway, those guys seem to 'protect' the little string of villages and farms until you get to Aguila."
"What's at Aguila?"
"Don't know. Apparently the guys who drove out there were getting shot at so they just turned back. We're not fighters. But get this, the guys who went to the 72 toward Parker, they were checking up on the transformers, they said they say some of the guys out there riding a tank! Like, from WW2! How about that!"
"A tank? The bikers fixed up a tank?"
"Oh, that was Bouse, little town on the highway. They seem pretty normal. We didn't get much further and had to go back, but at some point we're thinking of doing a little expedition out to Parker by the Colorado river, right on the California border." He looks back and checks a clock mounted on the wall. You notice two of your guards have started playing cards with some of the Union guys while the others keep a lookout. "But yeah, west of us you have a lot of small places real spread out. Not a whole lot of people, but also not the same kind of fighting that you see out in Phoenix, so maybe some of them will be able to spare the effort."
"Hope so," you tell him. "What about north and to the east, though? Is it just PCR guys?"
"Oh yeah. They don't seem to pay too much attention to the Buckeye area, but it's theirs. They seemed kind of suspicious of us when we went north past the Tartesso development to Sun City Festival one to work on the nearby substation. Didn't even let us in. Weird place if you ask me, carving out a couple thousand acres in the desert to make a bunch of houses but only for senior citizens, but that's just me yapping..."
