Felicia chuckled to herself as silently as she could manage. “I guess now we know she’s into himbos, huh?”
As soon as it began, however, it was over in the blink of an eye. Gloria shifted back into business mode as if nothing had ever happened.
“Originally, I was going to run a background on the three of you, but seeing as how two of you are previous X-Men, I don’t much see the need for it anymore.” Gloria announced.
Glass and Iara shifted uncomfortably for a moment, but W didn’t even blink. Gloria eyed her curiously.
“And as for you…there is very little I have on you. So, I will just have to trust the judgment of your peers.” she decided. “Try not to cause too much trouble.”
The clone gave her a slight nod.
“Good. Now, I’d like a comprehensive summary of your powers and abilities.” she demanded, pointing at Glass. “Let’s start with you.”
Glass held up a hand, straightened his fingers and reshaped his skin into a long, wicked blade. “I can reshape my skin into simple shapes. It sort of acts like armor and a weapon at the same time. I can fire the shards as projectiles too.” he explained.
“He’s also a really good fighter.” you added.
Ana gave him an approving nod. “Yes. I remember him from our trip to the island. He is a fearsome warrior.”
If Glass were capable of it, he might’ve blushed.
Gloria’s eyes drifted over to Iara. “And you?”
“Oh, that’s easy.” she laughed. “I’m strong, tough, can breathe both in water and on land, I’ve got a great sense of smell, and I’ve got stamina for days. I can go all night!”
She glanced in your direction, her perpetual grin taking on a mischievous quality. “This guy knows what I’m talking about.”
Everyone turned to look at you. You cleared your throat.
“She’s uh…talking about swimming. She can swim for a really long time.”
Ana cocked an eyebrow, but before anyone could comment on the matter, you forcibly drew their attention to W.
“This one’s got a lot of the same powers that I do. Except she can’t blow stuff up, and she talks to spiders and has crazy good senses.”
“She…talks to spiders?” Ana said quizzically.
W nodded. “I can call some here if you want.”
There was a resounding, and definite refusal from most of the people in the room. W deflated slightly from the outright rejection, but she didn’t dwell on it for very long.
It was Gloria’s turn to clear her throat. Did synthezoids even produce phlegm? “Now that we’re all here,” she began. “We can begin planning in earnest. Ms. Kravinoff, would you mind filling them in on the details?”
And so it went. Over the next day or two, you’d be finalizing your preparations for the operation. But…that isn’t ALL you had to do.
