On the 4th of August, 6191 LR, during a routine inquisitorial inspection of the Aconia Diocese, inquisitors discovered the presence of a Abraxas Pattern Mark of Servitude (MoS) upon serving staff at the Cardinal Palace. In accordance with the Codex Justiatem, Inquisitorial Form 834 was filed by the Inquisitor to provide notice that one or more of his palace staff were slaves-in-bondage (SIB), and request that the Cardinal follow Church Law and remove the slave from her bondage. Upon receiving the form, the Cardinal sent assurances that the finding was a result of improper removal of the MoS from the SIB after purchasing her freedom.
Inquisitors followed up with the Cardinal after six weeks, as dictated within the Codex Justiatem, and confirmed the removal of the MoS from the SIB. In breach of standard protocol, justified post-facto by the doctrine of Inquisitorial Discretion outlined in the Codex Interrogo, inquisitors planted 64 Marble Flies in and around key points of the Cardinal Palace during the follow up meeting. A summary of the locations and fields of view can be found in Attachment 1, Surveillance Map of the Aconian Cardinal Palace.
During a two year observation period, the Marble Flies recorded evidence of the Cardinal and 27 other bishops or high ranking priests participating in the following saecular High Crimes against the Dignity of Human:
>126 counts of Human Trafficking
>74 counts of Child Trafficking
>454 counts of Illegal Enslavement
>981 counts of Corruption of a Church Official
>223 counts of Pederasty
>492 counts of Rape
>1294 counts of Sexual Assault
>377 counts of Manufacture of Pornography
>47 counts of Theft of Virginity
>3 counts of Bestiality
After retrieving the Marble Flies and reviewing the evidence, the decision was made by the Inquisitorial Council to declare the Cardinal of Aconia Frater Horrificus, authorizing a purge of the diocese. In total, 137 souls were condemned to the Black Pit for these crimes, and may the LORD have mercy upon their souls.
