>>6132725Ever since that night he'd left to go help Grandpa Karn and the morning when he finally got back all beaten up and collapsed, your Dad hasn't been awake since. No matter what Auntie Caulifla, Kazuma, or even the clumsy dumb goddess Aqua tried, no one could wake your Daddy up. But you need him, now more than ever as you land in front of the house, pressing your ring so hard to the gate lock you hear something crack the portcullis rises up, you dashing under and pressing your hand back to the other side, locking it back immediately as you call out upstairs.
“MOOOOOM! Grandma! Somebody, help!” you cry out, trying to be strong like grandpa and not freak out.
“Meloka Wolbach, what's wrong dear?” your grandmother calls back down, no doubt still up at the table with your little brother. Holding Modoriiromoukin close you dash up the stairs, flying the whole way and not bothering to run as you dash back up into the dining room. “What's going on?”
“Something bad's coming! It, it was... Evil.” you say, shivering as you remember the evil magic in the air. “It's getting close! All the birds were flying away!”
“All the birds? What do you mean, all the birds?” she asks, taking a tone you don't think matches the emergency going on.
“ALL of them! Even the gryphons and hippogriffs are flying south!” you shout, your grandmother freezing in place, spoon halfway to your little brother's mouth. “We gotta do something!”
“Yes. Go upstairs and tell your mother.” she replies, setting down Kazuburo's food and immediately taking him up and out of the chair. “I'm right behind you.”
“Right!” you shout in response, dashing to the staircase and once more flying up. It takes only a couple seconds to reach the next floor, going to the door splitting your room with your little brother's and your parents' room. Rushing the door you don't even bother knocking, or even opening it, smashing it down and knocking it flat as you shout to your mom. “MOM! Something bad's coming! All the birds are flying south away from the evil, it's really scary!”
“Meloka Wolbach? Wha-?” you rmother starts, but as you tell her about the birds and the evil you sensed, see her expression change. From confusion to worry to a fear you've never seen before, your mother's fear is even scarier than the evil itself. You've never seen your mother afraid, but if even SHE is, then it must be bad! “That's not good. Stay with your father, I'm going to the roof.”
“B-But-!” you start, only for your mother to rise, walking over to you and placing her right hand index finger on your lips.
