The stealth ship descends from the sky at breakneck speeds, which you are unable to feel in the protected cabin. Finally, it touches down with ceremonious grace, the only way you know is an alert that pings through the ship. Ryn Sol is fiddling with the equipment, longingly looking at the armour and caressing a weapon. Seyra has a skip in her step as she rushes to the entry port. Leaning against one of the reinforced walls, you watch her waiting to burst from the ship to proudly display the trophy. There is a strong part of you that wants to stop her, to steal the relic from her and take it in your own possession. After all, it was your plan, and she’s got herself a Lightsaber.
As soon as the door automatically opens, Seyra leaves the climate-controlled vessel for the hot embrace of the sun that hangs high above Lao. The port’s ceiling doors, which are wide open to take you deep in its embrace, and with a sound of steel on steel, they begin to close with a screech. Bringing your arm up, as if looking at your watch, C2 scurries out from within your robe. By pressing a few gem-encrusted buttons on his back, you call Lord Tyus. The holographic face of the Sith Lord appears, and you speak, “Greetings, Sith Lord Tyus, I hope all is well. We have retrieved the artefact for you. Seyra is on her way to deliver it to you now.”
The Gand’s bizarre face warps with an emotion you can not read off his very alien face, “Excellent, I have been waiting for news of your mission. To hear you’ve achieved it so quickly is very impressive.”
“Thank you, master.”
“And don’t have Seyra just deliver the relic, I want all of you there so I can dull out rewards and get a correct account of the mission.” With that, Tyus ends the call, the hologram dissipating into nothingness.
“You heard that, Ryn?” You ask the Chagrian.
“Most of it. Let’s get going and catch Seyra up.”
The two of you join Seyra and tell her about the call. She doesn’t look the most pleased with the information, but she accepts the recount. Walking as a trio, you enter the campus grounds, and it is devoid of life. Most students are still far away from this planet, working on their part to support the Sith war efforts. The only residents who haven’t disappeared in large numbers are the servants who still scurry around the buildings, performing their duties across the site. Like pests infesting a city, they try to hide in shadows, out of sight, in an attempt to avoid any greater beings’ ire.
