Izzy sighs out in defeat, but smiles regardless. “Well, ya did it, Cheelai. No tricks or anything, just you and Hakka working together.” She holds her hand out. “And I’ll keep up my end of the bargain.”
She gives an honest and appreciative smile. “Thanks boss. Guess part of it was me havin’ something to work towards.” Cheelai remarks as she looks back at the brothers. “But Hakka and I did make a good team here.”
“Yeah. Let’s do this again some time.” the fox boy says welcomingly.
“And so, to make that ‘some time’ come just a bit sooner, the grand prize… A SEASON PASS TO DREAM LAND!” You and Cocoa declare together, handing each of them one.
Everyone’s about ready to see what the other prizes are available… when you sense Jaki gathering up energy again. ‘He’s stronger than anticipated. He’ll be breaking out soon, I can feel it.’
Izzy too notices something, looking in the direction of the House of Nightmares. Maple though pats you on the shoulder. “I’ll handle it. You kids have fun.”
Mom teleports to him, and then the two of them arrive in the haunted house. And… there you briefly sense a spike in power. Someone is quite upset over what he just went through, but before he can actually do anything about it, he’s gone. Maple, Jaki, and himself have all been teleported away. Cooooast clear?
“Peppa.” Izzy quietly but sternly calls to you as she gets closer. In a whispered voice, she asks, “Why could I sense Neuros just now?”
Ah. Oh boy.
