Interestingly, or perhaps ironically, Faysal cannot see the terrible beast. His firm faith negates the existence of the monster to him. Though for his sake you decide to leave him on shore for the time being, a distance away from the Gaelans, for it seems that he can see the aquatic half-breeds that travel with their monstrous father. In approaching this manifested entity, you don't want Faysal getting caught or killed by the very real and physical hybrids it spawned with physical, material mothers.
From the Gaelan ritual the summoned entity accepts the offering, spewing up a bounty of sea-cursed magical weapons and equipment in exchange for his new bride, eventually departing from the shore and leaving an inky black wake... with not a drop of blood left, nor the body of the sacrificed captive. Once returned to the sea and some distance from land, but before he can disappear, you pursue and catch up to the entity. Some moments of uncertainty from both parties when you meet; confusion for him at what you are yet strangely familiar, and alarm from you when nearing him and realizing up close how big he really is. If you are large enough to hold a human with one hand, then he is large enough to hold you with one hand.
<span class="mu-r">"...whoooo dares approach? These are myyyyy waters... Tanaloa, sinker of cities and scourge of the seeeaaaa!"</span>
It is only moments of instinctive reaction however, as you know, you can feel that for all his size and exaggerated ferocity this being is merely a feeble shadow of you. Though it certainly is uncomfortable to gaze upon its monstrosity, the terrible majesty of all the ocean's fury in a massive shark-like form... like looking at a warped reflection upon an uneasy tidal pool. Yet you are not deterred, and can regain your composure, muster your courage to face your dark counterpart.
How you choose to act towards it though... is up to you. For the time being, the entity is uncertain about you and so holds off on acting first. That's nothing to say of his hybrid children though, grotesque hybrid merrows who approach you curiously... and certainly nothing to say, of the bewildered priestess, who must think herself dead and in the afterlife to be witnessing two of her god.
>What do you do? If it is combat oriented, or some wielding of divinity, then go ahead and make a roll for the effort!
