The Springtail Stridler has evolved a curled tail that can quickly unwind, propelling it forward at great speed, and then just as quickly wind back up and get ready for another hop. This ability makes it quite the agile little critter, and helps it's chances of escaping the lumbering Arctus Mungori. When it doesn't need speed, it uses the tail as a sort of crutch or clunky third leg. Speaking of it's legs, those have changed shape too, the main claw now folding up when not being used for digging or assisting in keeping balance, with the secondary finger developing a similar, but smaller claw used as a hoof.
It's diet still consists mostly of lichen, though it's new body shape makes getting inside Pehuen trunks a bit difficult.
