Lieutenant Hoffman has given chase upon the retreating forces and with their momentum they manage to prevent them from digging in however the forces spotted earlier at nennweiler had come to reinforced them. The enemy force is unprepared and the battle seems to be heavily weighed towards Hoffman's forces however they are able to maintain some semblance of order to hold their ground momentarily. Meanwhile Charlie platoon of the mechanized company tried to catch up with the bulk of their battalion but both the enemy and charlie were caught unawares when they stumbled onto each other in gross hagen, it appears the infantry unit that gave chase to Lt.Karl had moved towards the town to reinforce gross hagen not knowing that it was already lost
