(Maybe I can cite a specific example to demonstrate) In all the videogames and films being cited so far, the action and emotion is being driven by dialogue, interaction, events, things happening. The introspection I have in mind is much more sparse, you could do it with just one actor on an empty stage (as I described in my troll Gandalf ridiculous example) It is not straying so far into pretentious avant garde Ionesco drama stuff though of course you can take it in that direction.
