“I do not think you need to worry about how many Xenos and Creatures you have slaughtered under your house’s banner.” TalOS declared with a forthrightness in his voice, “I must apologize if what we have done up to now has prevented you from riding out into the open fields. As you know that will be resolved soon.”
The groups of men around TalOS nodded as they heard those words told to them. It was a promise that they were wishing to hear and something that TalOS had gladly given.
“With that while many of you will be placed about the army in supporting roles, my idea for you all is to act as the Guardians for the God Machines.” TalOS declared as he felt a moment’s realization reach him, “The simple matter of fact that when the God Machines come upon the battlefield the Xenos will send whatever is their equivalent towards them. Each of you will have a chance to make a name for yourselves if you take down one of these great machines.”
“To be the guardians of the God Machines.” Fredric of Borgius spoke first as he pondred the words in his mouth, “I can see that as an honor I will not deny. And to whoever slays the enemy’s God Engine, goes the glory of a thousand kills.”
“A Glory Navaros will have.” declared Alexander as he raised his hand in a fist towards TalOS, “Arch Dominus, if you have nothing else to speak about I will want to get my Knights ready for their new duty!”
“There is nothing else, Alexander Navaros.” TalOS said while giving the boy a nod, “I look forward to seeing you upon the battlefield.”
With those words the Prince left the war table with purpose in his heart. As he did so TalOS turned to see Frdric giving a nod to him, “I trust my Knights will not be found wanting Arch Dominus. The Priests of the Machine God have brought new life into our war engines. They truly wish to touch ground upon the battlefield.”
“Such is the grace of the Machine God. If you have any more questions or needs do let me know.”
“I shall, Arch Dominus TalOS.” With those words the man arose and made his way away from the war table.
