Why did you need to listen to kidnappers, rapists, and murderers?
Your answer would come soon enough— bringing the fight to them until they were all dead or gone.
"Had they simply been intelligent enough to give up after their first blunder, they might've been useful to throw against an enemy." Your Mastermind, Ruby, in her beautiful contralto, mused.
"They must've just realized they don't have a chance. Having me meet with the Bandit King is their last gambit." You reasoned. It was possible they were gonna try to assassinate you in Northumbridge when they had the chance. There was a precedent starting from when their invasion was first repelled— a couple of beguiler chicks tried to kill you under the guise of illusions. Both ended up dead because of it. And while you had abilities that could cause some shenanigans, you didn't want to risk it.
"Quite right. Seeing so many of their fellows perish would make any truce of questionable value." She seemed to only care about them in the abstract sense.
"Master is correct." Gerty backed you up. "The destruction of any enemy, especially one so dishonorable, must be total. Making deals with scum wouldn't end well."
"It's still a shame. But I can't disagree." Rose sipped some tea. "Given the strategic blunders they're prone to doing, they might've even tried spring a trap in this 'meeting'. Or even take one of us slaves hostage for leverage." She added. "I am certain my gallant Master has this all figured out~"
Your Holy Knight, ignoring Ruby, turned to you. "When will we begin the second phase?"
"Right now." You declared.
Soon you were telling Ruby to relay your orders. She gladly made sure the rest of your slaves heard them from announcements through the installed speakers .
The second time flying around in The Vixen's Luck resulted in less bombing runs and more with directing the mass of clankers where to swarm about.
Like ants, they went to places Mel and you uncovered.
Your Holy Knight, using her tactical mind and covered from above by your airship, made sure to have the bandits get cut down wherever they'd make themselves known.
Your dedicated tactics didn't stop them from acting like bandits, however.
"Ey there, fat tits." One of the bandits, in a group that went around perfecting the part of standard bandit cannon fodder, was talking to Bertha. "You shoulda been takin' the time to be with us instead of hangin' around-"
"I'm already owned, sorry!" Your warrioress innocently smiles and, with a single swing of her hammer, sends at least five bandits flying into the sky.
The ones that that didn't get the memo yet were becoming fewer and further in between.
It was almost impressive how they kept on acting like bastards even when outnumbered and outgunned.
Most bandits were definitely dead by now. You'd be surprised if there were more than ten remaining, not including the other beguilers in league with the bandits and the Bandit King himself.
