“B-But…” Gretal looks reluctant.
“Bear in mind, this is us asking nicely. I can change my request into an order and you don’t want to know what we do with those who fail to comply with an order.” The officer threatens.
Hansel sighs, “My, my, it’s a shame but it appears we’ll have to cut this reunion short Derrick.”
You give a derisive smile, “Tell me about it, I just wake up and everyone wants to see me. Sorry to be such a hot commodity.”
He and Gretal stand up, “It’s no trouble really, we’ll just catch up later.” He takes Gretal’s hand into his, “Come on, Gretal.”
They walk over to the door, “I-It was nice talking to you Derrick! W-We also have important stuff to talk about, so c-come see us right after you’re done!”
“We’ll be waiting at the front entrance!” Hansel states as they depart.
Okabe smiles, “What a pleasant pair. I’m glad to see you’ve made such good friends in my absence.”
“Thanks, now can you introduce me to your not-so-friendly friends here?” You look toward the squad of officers.
The gruff man steps forward, “Nice to meet you young man, my name is James Corden and I’m with-”
“Federal Security right?” you guess.
His eyes go wide, “Oh? How did you know?” The man reaches into the pocket of his uniform and pulls out a badge, the badge is an insignia of a golden lion pouncing valiantly into the air, engraved into the gold insignia is: James Corden, Federal Security: Special Investigation Unit
“Your uniform. I saw a bunch of your co-workers when I first arrived, during the attack.” You answer.
“Oh yes, the Young Dragon’s attack that took place a month ago, I heard you were there acting as Prince Noell’s guardian at the time. You must have seen us hunting down terrorists and recusing citizens.” He explains.
“I didn’t see much of the latter but I did see a lot of you fail to do the former. Surion got away, despite your best efforts.” You berate.
He sighs and adjusts his hat, “As shameful as it is to admit, yes, he has evaded us time and time again despite our best efforts…however --thankfully-- we no longer need to worry about him.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” You give him a curious look.
“He was captured and taken into custody a week ago.” He answers.
Your eyes go wide, “Wait, you guys actually got him? You actually caught that slippery bastard? How?”
“We can inform you of that later, we’re in a bit of a hurry so I think it’s about time we started the questioning-”
“Hold it, Hold it.” Okabe cuts in, “If you can’t tell, this man just woke up from a coma and just like his friend Pansel said earlier, he’s a little out of loop, surely we can catch him up a little before we jump right into it right?”
