These pockets of air turn into shredding currents where the laws of physics fail to obey, causing spontaneous combustion of atoms and sudden gale winds caused by vacuums. The wound hurts, but it’s little compared to what the lobster can do.

In time, The Herald may be able to rip another portal open, but the servile shard has been extinguished at the hands of the lobster, who absorbs the energy to grow strong.
