>>5449936I'd say TalOS has a great relationship with his sons as can be, possibly one of the best in so far as one Primarch can have a relationship with an entire legion.
Consider:
>Out of all the Primarchs, he's the best at multi-tasking since he can use subminds, data-jinn, and secondary sub-consciousnesses like a Techpriest can.>He has a noospheric connection capacity with literally every single space marine at any given time that is within range. He doesn't need them to meet them at his office, or come to the bridge. >He keeps up to speed on everything, he knows all that goes on so long as there is noospheric connection. He could have a veritable small army of little data-imps, servo skulls, and the eyes of techpriests. Possibly the ones to rival him in his awareness of the legions ongoings is Magnus and Perturabo/Ferrus for their techness. Except Perturabo is an ass to his sons and Ferrus is just hard. >TalOS is a believer in improvement, not perfection. He understands, like Saint ED1SON himself, that failure is but the prelude to learning and success. He is not ashamed to lose to Leman Russ, and will fight him again and again as a way to test and improve himself. The precedence he sets for his sons to is not to be so perpetually terrified of failure so long as they seek to improve and overcome the weaknesses of flesh and upgrade themselves for the next challenge. This in comparison to the Iron Warriors who fear failing perturabo "for the last time" like he were some super villain rather than their beloved father. Or even the Emperor's Children where there is no greater shame than imperfection. We embrace our physical imperfections in the pursuit of perfection of the mind and machine>He's a stable sensible man, with good parents, a wife, personal children, basically like Guilliman except even Guilliman never had wife and kid. And he wants his Acillians to remember their families, like the Salamanders do>He's also their prophet, and their religious figure, and he shares that extra bond of faith like Lorgar and Vulkan do with their sonsI'd like to imagine TalOS regularly sends out brief constructive criticisms and praise via noosphere and hologram to everyone from his Reichsmarshals to the common Astartes when they do something noteworthy, thanks to the efficiency of Binharic/noospheric over regular language. He wants to see everyone improve, just as a Techpriest ought to, in body and mind.
