[JENK] "It's been pretty evident, since the days that people could first make fire, somebody doing nothing hurts others around them. How could a tribe of hunter gatherers prosper if several of them huddled around the fire all day while only one went out to hunt game or fish? How can anyone enjoy the fish gained if no one wants to prepare it either? And how will they get more fires if someone wants to do the bare minimum? Nature is a system of constantly expanding and rapid energy. If we consider every life to be a component of the great machine that is Nature, then like the plants moving with the sun, mortals too must move. To stagnate invites only disaster. The system of nature will be disrupted. When mortals are lazy, they will disrupt their own systems. Someone will get fed up eventually, they will go berserk on the lazy."
[JENK] "Look, all I'm trying to say is; help out. By helping out, we help each other. People will help you the same. Many of these ways we help is each other is helping each other stay sane too. They say that you should never not want to work hard if you feel like nobody will notice, because they say someone is. But that's mostly an Imperial dogmatic phrase. I decided to become that person."
'You do watch over mortal efforts.'
[JENK] "I do. I try to watch all of them, but there's so many. I appreciate everyone who sweats their heart out to make something big. There is something for everyone out there they will find and will be happy to do. Whether it is raising crops like these, writing literature, stroking paint cross a canvas, welding metals together, boxing things! Making food! Taking care of animals... building buildings... running the locomotives on time... I appreciate those who find dedication in their craft, and I'd hate if they were brought down by the troubles that laziness ensures. So I've decided to punish the lazy, in a fashion."
Jenk put up a finger in silent pause for a second and then fished below his shirt threads, scrounging around in his trouser pockets to pull out and reveal Woldorian Reichmarks. This was the official currency of the land. He had quite a lot.
[JENK] "I have no need for money, I am not greedy at all."
And suddenly, I was amazed as they burned in his hand!
[JENK] "Now naturally, feelings arise that lead some to want to reward others for what they do, everything they do, just like me. I am naturally predisposed to it, with all the charity I like to do here on my magical farm, but sometimes Mortals think to give back when I gift them things. They'll send me money. Whenever I burn a bill, my Truth punishes someone out there in Hainei who is being lazy. My punishments are not severe, not lethal, and not life ending. But they are hurtful, because these curses directly attack the laziness itself. People will sometimes not like it, but I cannot help that. It is my hope these punishments I deal out will serve as their motivation to do better."
