Soaring up into the skies on the Flying Nimbus, with Barbar right beside you on the Dark Nimbus and Azalaea standing on top of your fluffy head of hair, you peer out over the beautiful landscape of Earth. The closest feature of note would, naturally, be the fact that you're situated at a group of numerous islands that don't seem too far apart from one another - an archipelago the likes of which could only truly be found in the southern hemisphere, most likely the southeastern to be specific. The warm temperatures and sandy beaches support the notion, compared to the cooler temperatures and rocky shores that the northern lands tend to hold. Next, utilizing the Far-Seeing Arts to pierce through the atmospheric haze and account for the curvature that would otherwise hinder your vision, you spot the massive landmass that must by the mainland to the north - some particularly verdant looking mountain range is the first thing you spot there, and near it is a wide expanse of desert, which Barbar confirms sounds like the lands he grew up near.
With his direction, and a little bit of confirmation using the well-worn map that Jack drew for you all those years ago, you determine that you need only head east and maybe a little bit due south to get back on track to your search for Baba and Yang. With a sharp whistle, you two set your flying clouds into motion, and within just a few hours at most you've made your way back to the western hemisphere of the world thanks to the blindingly fast speeds that these little guys can go. Cross-referencing land features with the map once you reach a deep inland river you recall seeing previously, you head towards the Great Western Desert you'd heard of before...
When you finally spot it, you can safely say that it's not quite what you expected of a desert - though you can clearly make out plenty of dunes and sand, it seems as though a great deal of effort went into attempting to make the land more hospitable, with a plethora of hardy desert trees having been specifically planted to make a paradoxical desert forest of unearthly beauty. At the core of this desert forest lays a particularly stunning oasis of glittering water, upon which seems to be exactly what you were looking for: Fortuneteller Baba's magnificent palace, bearing buildings with rooftops that shimmer like they're made of precious amethysts or sapphires and topped with golden caps. A strange circular area, perhaps a meeting ground, seems to be attached to the back of the palace while two identical pyramids flank either side of it.
