Hold on just a moment, you have realized something important! You’re here to find Cheese! Y-You mean Jesse! This conspiracy talk is a pure fabrication of your mind like in the many times it happened before. How can you forget that you really thought that zebras were real? Enough of this nonsense, you need to take this idea out of Pascaline’s mind! She’s far too kind to live her life in fear.
“You know, after saying it all out loud, I think our heads are playing tricks on us.” You remain calm, cool, and collected.
“You’re right. I had this notion in my head for a long time now.” Pascaline forgot this is normal for her! That doesn’t sound good… “Perhaps, I got excited thinking I was special in some sort of way, and connected to you.”
“Pascaline, you’re already special to me!” You smile. She’s your Cheese Goddess after all. What’s a better connection than that?
“B-But I’m failing to inspire you! I want to make myself useful to you!” Pascaline is too self-conscious to take your compliment. “I’ve witnessed firsthand how much you’ve done for Xumenlo!”
“Eh, that topic isn’t important. It was an ice breaker.” You dismiss. “What I really need help with is to find a man named Jesse. Have you seen him?”
“Jesse? What does he look like?” Pascaline needs more information.
“Do you have a pen and paper?” You raise an eyebrow. It’s time for one of your infamous doodles!
Pascaline hands over her little notepad where she writes down store-related stuff. Before you begin, the Dairy Product Vendor writes down her number and gives it to you. She said something like ‘Since I believe you didn’t notice last time’. You apologized, you were busy, but you’ll keep her number. Now you scribble the perfect portrait!
Pascaline gasps upon seeing the image!
“You know where he is?!” You can’t believe it was this easy!
“Yes!” Pascaline nods and her entire body bounces.
“Where?” You need to know.
“Right behind you!” Pascaline giggles. “He just showed up!”
“…Hello there.” An unamused Jesse stares at you.
“Hey! I was looking for you!” You’re in luck! Hooray!
“What’s the story behind the drawing?” Jesse dryly asks. He isn’t interested in warm greetings and the like.
(The drawing is the exact same one as the one given to the Tomatoes from a couple of posts back.)
