GAME OF DISTORSION (1/3 road events)
The wind carried the smells of the coming summer.
You followed the dirt path on horseback, the expedition had left the city earlier in that day.
As a member of the scouting team, it was your job was to make sure the road was safe.
It was a quiet job for the most part, barely doing anything other than advancing in silence.
You heard Ghal coming up to you, while eyeing the two people he didn’t know.
He leaned a bit closer to speak, fearful others could hear him.
“Master, should you not get further away? These men might see through your disguise.” He said whispering
You looked back that the other riders.
The lanky one was giving a blank stare to infinity, you were pretty sure he had fallen asleep with his eyes open.
The only reason it hadn’t gotten lost was because his horse was following the others.
The other was talking with Emilia, or more precisely, Emilia was weathering his rant on the best way to kill ferals.
He had an extremely long hair that had several leaves and sticks stuck in it.
“I don’t think that will be a problem.”
Ghal did not argue back, but tried to position himself between you and them as an extra measure.
“You could eat them and hide the bodies in the forest.” Potato chirped from his new hiding place inside your jacket.
The spriggan solution to everything was not worth considering.
“We are not doing that.”
“I could make the roots hide them, why don’t you want their sweet flesh?”
“We already had this conversation, no.”
It grumbled and went back to chewing a pinecone he had.
The rest of the journey went without incident until you spotted a fallen wagon.
Taking a slow approach, the group dismounted the horses and sneakily approached.
It was a fancy carriage that had fallen on its side and a body laid face down in the middle of the road.
The person was wearing a gold trim dress.
The thing smelled like a trap, and it was.
