>>5384694Something else I'd like to ponder is how our Crusade efforts compare to our brothers, not just in conquest but in establishment of empire. I want to imagine we might really be the Speedrunner Primarch
Consider of our brothers found so far:
-Horus grew up on an isolated Gang World, and would have only been provided those ships the Emperor's fleet could spare
-Fenris was even worse in terms of technology. Leeman Russ wasn't a major empire builder either, he liked to conquer things more than own them thus late in the Crusade his political influence on Terra was low
Meanwhile:
#1 Our growth was accelerated by Techpriests, with immediate technological knowledge as well as a history of fighting aliens
#2 Very early in our life we fended off a planetary alien invasion, rather than some local threat like a monstrous beast or some tyrant. Our planet was already united and space faring, we among all Primarchs were introduced at an early age how to lead vast forces agianst the alien
#3 *We made our own space marines before the Emperor met us. This is huge. This is literally something no one else can or will do (except maybe the 11th). To the point we already had a partial legion before meeting the Emperor, and what the Emperor gave us was a fully fledged legion already
#4 Upon meeting us, we had already half a sector in our pocket, a large fleet of "comparable" size to the Emperor's own, not only that but our culture being Mechanicum was instantly integratable with the Imperium, we didn't have to spend so much time integrating administration
#5 A point on administration: We are not and have not been the political dictator of our world, neither have our Acillians. We are soldiers, scientists, engineers but we don't presume ourselves politicians. We have actual politicians in the Federation and Lucian senates. We have basically achieved 200 years ahead of time what the Emperor dictated that made Horus and everyone else chaff: "have mortals in administration of the Imperium". But we were born doing that. Many of our Generals themselves are Techpriests and we should continue that trend as they do have centuries of experience and war data under their belt.
We're basically going to be the only legion when the word goes out to integrate into Imperial Administrata and just shrug because that's just status quo for us. Only instead of the Administratum, it's the Mechanicum. We're nearly a perfect example of what the Emperor wanted to achieve. . .with the glaring flaw that we worship the Machine God
#6 Our planets are literally geared for industrial production and war output above all things. As it is our religion. Unlike Lorgar, our faith only drives us to conquest faster.
#7 We didn't have to spend ages building up our forces, we showed up to a bunch of Forge Worlds, used our influence, and amass and even space force
If any other manages to catch up to us, I'm going to eat my hat
Just goes to show you:
