You had allowed Queen Lianne to leave first as you kept thinking about your father in the cemetery for a moment before you too left for your room to catch some sleep.
The next morning you put on your fine clothes that you had bought from Stormwind which apparently had given a good impression to the people who had seen you wearing them. You are probably going to be surrounded by nobles so just wearing your normal clothes wouldn’t be the best way to go.
Having eaten breakfast, taken a bath, put on the clothes and rechecked everything twice, you were ready for the day.
With Malevus, Sir Gravis and his knights escorting you through the palace, you could see how the place was alive and full of servants and visitors. The grand hallway that led into the imperial chamber had plenty of curious onlookers that had been barred entry to the chamber, but were still intrigued to hear the news and the result of this tribunal in addition to the other business and decisions done today in matters unrelated to you. Not that often this many nobles and others would gather into the chamber so days like this were followed relatively closely.
“Prince Alric Perenolde of Alterac.” The guard standing by the large door shouted to introduce you to the crowd inside the imperial chamber as you stepped in and when he did that, the many nobles and those allowed into the chamber turned their heads and fell silent.
“Has Lord Blackmoore arrived yet?” You quietly asked the guard and received the answer of not yet.
So you were early or he was late to his own tribunal.
The imperial chamber had silken curtains, golden chandeliers and a pure white marble floor which had intricate designs with concentric circles and a triangle in the middle. At the center of the triangle was another circle with the golden seal of Lordaeron that was somewhat hidden underneath a long table that had been brought into the chamber. The high domed ceiling, with the octagonal window at the apex, let in plenty of natural light and you could see the many balconies that overlooked the chamber where ambassadors could easily see and hear everything that was happening in the chamber.
With Malevus following behind you, you walked past the nobles until you stopped and took a spot nearly in the front. Quickly the nobles continued their own talks and you could relax a bit without having several dozen pairs of eyes keeping a close watch on you.
Looking around you saw the throne empty and there was no one sitting behind the long table either, just a few clerks bringing scrolls and papers there. Then you spotted some familiar faces in the chamber. Lord Uther spoke with a pair of paladins next to a wall on the other side of the chamber, maybe they were part of the tribunal? And you saw Jaina Proudmoore standing amongst the crowd and when you noticed her, she gave you a smile and waved.
