>>5925638“My issues with Blair have concluded.” Kate says. She remains calm and collected, even with a Hero’s Relic pointed at her. “We are here at the request of my lady, who has asked us to work together with you to defeat Anacharsis. You can take my help or leave it if you’d like.”
>“Your lady?”“Winona.” Kate says. “She informed me of everything back at the tower. Of Anacharsis and his true identity. Lady Winona wishes for her child to grow up in a world free from Agarthan influence. If I can safeguard such a world for her and that child, then I will do so. Even if it means working with you.”
>“And who is this us you speak of?” “The remnants of the Hellwings.” Kate says. As you look around, you can see several wyverns have begun encircling the pilgrims from above, causing them to look up in fear. Based on their armor and the flag that one of them carried, Kate was telling the truth. These were indeed Hellwings. They must have been the few that Bradley had sent away before he fell at Enbarr.
“I understand that this is what all our battles were leading up to.” Kate says. “Lord Rex wanted a unit that could fight behind him against Anacharsis. A fight that would dwarf all others. And while he may be gone, we remain. And we will see that battle and vision through to the end.”
A wyvern lands near you on the bridge. A young Hellwing salutes Kate. Holding onto him from behind was a gravely wounded, but very much alive Anemone. You notice that she’d dropped the guise of Alena, assuming her true form. The man dismounts from his wyvern and begins helping her do the same.
>“Anemone! You’re alive”“We were able to intercept her just in time.” Kate says. “Her pegasus did not make it, but she should live, provided she receives treatment soon.”
>“Are you okay?” You ask Anemone, grabbing her by the shoulders. “I’ll get Kayla and Elizabeth here right away!”“Just…hurry up and get in that damn tower.” Anemone rasps out painfully. “We can’t have that much time left. Now that Bennett is dead…they’ll be in a rush to speed things along.”
“Ingrid, the others should have noticed us by now. Flag down our healers and captains and get everyone over here immediately. We’re going inside right away!”
“You’re really okay with this?” Ingrid asks you, bewildered. She points Luin towards Kate. Ingrid had been doing her best to cope with the stress, but after what she’d seen here today, you supposed her reaction was only natural. “This woman nearly killed you! What if she tries to do finish the job as soon as I turn my back?”
