As the vibrations rattled their flesh the next blow was already coming. This time the steel pipe that the giant had been using quickly came down to the right of Lucian, causing the earth underneath them to crack and shutter. The Knight could hear a cry from his steed but was already in motion to strike out against the offending limb.
It was a hard strike, but Lucian was able to get another foot deeper into the flesh of the Giant who rose that very limb. Lucian’s blade was seeingly carried too, causing a bloody tide to erupt from the small bit of palm that the Knight cut into.
Nightshade barely moved as the next blow came, the horse giving them about room to dodge the blow but not to fully escape its effects. Lucian alone could feel his blood ache and his body fighting itself as it wanted to simply come apart from the forces. Yet it was the Rune that kept them both together long enough to move the scythe upwards and make another strike, this time a new wound that joined with the others.
Oh the roar of pain from Grimidal as the limb was once again cut into. He was quick this time, so fast that Nightshade could not escape from the blow unscathed. A blow, this time on their left, knocked the horse towards the right and threatened to bring Lucian down with her. Let the Knight was quick, his scythe already motioning to slam into the barely exposed bone through all the blood and muscle tendons.
With a yank, Lucian tore into it.
Another mighty yell that seemed to shake the entire foundation of the world came from Grimidal. The Demi-God who brought about the damnation of civilizations lost his weapon, dropping the ornate rod onto the ground as his right hand went slack from injury.
“I AM DONE WITH YOU!” Declared the giant as he reached down with his left hand and picked up the rid again. How he held it, how instead of preparing to slam it down upon Lucian but instead point it at him, told Lucian that something was very wrong.
It was when it sat above his head and Lucian could look down the barrel towards a dark abyss that Lucian realized just what the Giant had been trying to bat him with. Its size was immense, so immense that it was a weapon in its own right against his kind, but what it truly was mattered the most.
It was a gun, a hand cannon whose size should never have been seen or will never be seen again. The weapon held in one hand and the injured arm being used to support it, the Knight of Morr watched as the trigger was depressed and a series of ancient mechanisms began to move.
Grimidal grinned wickedly as he began to fire.
>Pray to the Lady
>Get one last push out of Nightshade
>Some help would do
