You sighed deeply and felt momentarily how the weight of the situation was on your shoulders and you felt that you needed a short break. Further business in the imperial chamber would just make you irritated. So you walked to Jaina and Calia. What would be better than spending the recess with them?
“Hello Calia, hello Jaina.” You said to them as you walked over to them.
“You decided to be the talk of the day.” Jaina said with a chuckle.
“Are you surprised?” Calia asked her.
“Not a bit.” Jaina said before giving a puzzled look towards Malevus. As she hadn't seen her before.
“This is Lady Malevus, she is my squire.” You said to Jaina.
“I am still not surprised.” Jaina said with a laugh.
…
Calia had guided you out from the imperial chamber into a room that visitors and negotiators use from time to time. In the room you had just sat down on a couch, removed your chaperon and loosened the silk scarf Calia had given to you.
Jaina was talking with Malevus about how she had ended up in your service while Calia kept looking at you.
“That was awfully brave of you.” Calia said to you.
“You would have said the same if you had seen how Thrall had been living. It was not suitable, not even for an orc.” You said to her. “Jaina, have you seen the Internment Camps, the orcs inside?”
“Yeah I have visited a camp. I have seen the lethargic orcs there.” Jaina said back. “Lord Antonidas has said that the orcs are suffering from the withdrawals of the demonic energies that fueled them.”
“But Thrall wasn’t like that, he wasn’t lethargic nor felt like the Blackrock orcs I have faced.” You said and leaned forward while brushing your hair away from your eyes.
“Could it be that because of Thrall being found as a baby, he wasn’t afflicted?” Calia mused aloud.
“Maybe, now just studying it is impossible with the orc having escaped.” Jaina said back.
“That reminded me. I met Prince Kael’thas, he had something to say to you Jaina.” You said to her.
“Oh you met Kael, when did that happen?” Jaina said and was confused.
“I tried to come see you in Dalaran on my way here and I bumped into him. Prince Kael’thas said that you shouldn’t forget your hydromancy studies.” You answered.
“Kael is very serious about my studies, so thank you Alric, I can now tell him that you remembered to remind me.” Jaina said with a smile.
“Hey Alric, we have dinner later today.” Calia said to you. “You should join us.”
“I would love to, but is it with your family? Is it appropriate for me to join?” You asked.
“Nah it is all fine, you are a Prince and you are our friend.” Calia said and smiled. “It is okay, just trust me.”
Well now you know what you will be doing later tonight. But you had that nervousness inside you, a dinner with Menethil's? With King Terenas?
