The crimson and golden energies crash into each other, and to your surprise the cannon immediately begins overpowering your daughter. The cannon reminds you of the Covenant's giant warship lasers, and to your daughter's clear surprise her beam is swiftly overpowered. But then her power suddenly doubles once more, her beam slowly beginning to push that massive attack back.
“She's holding her own.” you <span class="mu-i">think</span> to Raditz, glancing aside at him as Chaya continues pushing back. “How well do you think she'll do?”
“I think she's going to make it to the final fight without issues.” he replies, eyes narrowing at you as he turns your way. “You seem awfully calm, to be on an enemy planet.”
“Well, I did have a talk with Vox, right after his machines attacked my house.” you reply, keeping the conversation telepathic as the fortress's beam ends, Chaya's beam firing directly into the giant, antique-seeming cannon. It detonates as Raditz turns fully towards you, his expression conflicted.
“Wait. You know?” he asks aloud, you giving him a small nod. He sighs out, visibly relaxing as Caulifla cheers her older sister on. “Good. I don't have to hide it anymore.”
“Hide what?” Caulifla asks him, and immediately he stiffens up and freezes in place.
“Don't worry, she already knows.” you say, and again he visibly relaxes. You then continue, resuming the telepathic conversation as she charges towards the fortress. “So, how well do you think she'll fare against Tanya?”
“I'm not sure. Even with her new gear, Chaya's stronger and faster. But I think that, either way, she'll be in rough shape when all's said and done.” Raditz replies as several smaller turrets begin firing up at Chaya, your daughter blocking the first barrage of Covenant-style energy projectiles that all shoot her immediately. Her body disappears in the explosions, then after a moment you see her fly up and out of it, punching her Energy Fists down and destroying the turrets below. “Which is why I was looking for the healing chamber, to make sure it survived inside the reinforced chamber. But that giant cannon took care of that. Luckily you brought your daughter along, if things go too wrong.”
“Let's hope it doesn't come to that.” you reply, then suddenly Chaya reaches out to the both of you telepathically. Immediately you both end the previous conversation and see what she has to say. Can't give away anything.
“I'm going on in.” she replies. “Vox's info said that their leader is inside this fortress, somewhere. So, I'm going on a hunt!”
