Where rather than being an entire legion we spread ourselves out as the finest Mechanicus support elements and advisory in all things tech arcana in the galaxy, our very best sons living in customized dread armors, leading skitarii bands or servicing Knight and Titan legions as techmarines or serving alongside loyalist legions but still very much retaining the red and not just losing our identity to being the "Techmarines of the Ultramarines" but being "The 2nd Legion Auxiliary Attachment" while also snubbing the Codex Astartes by willingly gathering together on the occasional tech hunt crusade?
I can live with that. Servants of the Machine Gods and Sons of TalOS through the end and forever.
But our Legion's identity vanishing into that of just being other legions techmarines puts me off massively.
