"Sir!" Gerty nearly shouted. "I take pleasure in saying that you did an exceptional job with the fight! It was truly a flawless attack on your part."
"The clankers were doing a surprisingly good job." You chuckled.
"It's reassuring to know that they might even hold their own against a major naval attack." Ruby said. "But let us not forget that you, my gallant Master, were the one that was leading the charge. Without you-"
"There is no need to be humble, Master!" Gerty was actually shouting now. "Your glorious attack was something to be revered and put in the history books!" She approached you with conviction. "You seamlessly defeated the monster in such a way that you didn't even fire a single torpedo! There was no damage done to any machine or person!" She took another step closer, now in almost in front of your face. "All to protect us lowly slaves from harm. We are once more proven unworthy to even speak your name."
"Is that so?" You take advantage of how close she was by getting a sneaky cop of her butt. "And who are you to decide who is worthy or not of that?" You put on some airs.
"Haah," Gerty appreciated your forceful gesture. "Forgive me... I overstepped my boundaries! I am willing to suffer any punishment you wish to impart!" She had a decidedly content look in her eyes.
"Right, we'll talk about that later." You were probably gonna have to give her a gentle whipping to make her wind down. Hell, you might already have your hands full tonight with celebrating this victory. "Right now we have a prize to take into account."
At your word various machines, robots, and quickly installed automatic pulleys began to pull out the giant kraken from the ocean; giving everyone present a good look at the giant squid.
"Whoa," Bertha said with widened eyes at the sight of the monster "That looks way more intimidating in person. What the heck is that thing again?"
"A kraken." Ruby's smile faltered as she pinched her nose. "What a disgusting smell."
"You're wrong, Rubes!" Bertha turned at your Mastermind and shouted. "Master always smells wonderful!"
"I'm referring to the squid." Ruby deadpanned.
"Wait a minute," Mel said with some curiosity "I thought krakens could only be a type of giant octopus?"
"A common misconception." Ruby said, taking a few paces away from the monster corpse and towards the lift "Krakens are any cephalopod that reaches an unusually large size, potentially due to consuming vast quantities of magical foodstuffs. But there are species that naturally grow this large."
