>>5796876A veil of melancholy hung heavily over Kessarion and Lorrha as they stepped down onto the scorching sands of Sorrus, the desolate expanse stretching out infinitely before them. They left Lord and Mariada behind at "The Honorbound", the ship serving as their sole beacon in the boundless desert.
Their journey was silent, the only sounds accompanying them were the rustling of the coarse sand beneath their feet and the faint, dry wind that whispered tales of solitude and ancient secrets. Kessarion's hands tightened subtly around his robe, his senses keenly attuned to their environment, albeit his connection to the Force remaining inexplicably stifled. Lorrha also didn't like sand. It was irritating and getting everywhere on her fur.
After a brief trek, they stumbled upon a site that bore the scars of a recent altercation. The once-pristine sands were marred by scorch marks, fragments of equipment, and a broken speederbike strewn carelessly across the clearing.
Lorrha closed her eyes and reached the desolation before her with the Force, unearthing a partially buried lightsaber amidst the chaos, its hilt peeking through the sand. As she lifted it, recognizing it as Erinth’s, her guttural wail pierced through the silent desert, echoing off the distant dunes in a mournful melody.
Before Kessarion could react the sand beneath them subtly began to shift.
And then, with a primeval roar, an immense, centipede-like creature surged forth from the sinkhole, its numerous, serrated legs clawing at the air as it propelled itself upwards. Its exoskeleton gleamed ominously under the harsh Sorrus sun, casting an eerie shadow upon the sand as it reared, turning its malevolent eyes towards the two Jedi. The creature's hard exoskeleton showed marks of lightsaber strikes. Both Kessarion and Lorrha immediately identified the creature as a wild predator.
Both master and padawan, despite their previous ordeal, poised themselves, unified by a silent resolve as they faced the emerging monstrosity, the future as uncertain and shifting as the sands beneath their feet.
>Kessarion ignites his lightsaber and tells Lorrha to run for the ship while he covers for her.>Kessarion ignites his lightsaber and positions himself in one of the combat stances they are used to with Lorrha. Then the padawan also ignites her yellow lightsaber and stands in position. Both wait for the perfect opportunity to attack the monstrosity. >Kessarion tells Lorrha to stay calm and slowly back away in a defensive way. He sends a distress signal to the ship and hope that the ship will pick them up before the creature have the courage to attack. >Kessarion positions himself in front of the creature and tries to reach the Force to temporarily calm it down or pacify it in a trance. >Kessarion, after seeing the lightsaber marks, remembers all the loss he had suffered. He couldn't avenge the Order by killing the killer clones but he could avenge Erinth.>Other
