While you heal and gather the supplies, a couple day pass. Plenty of time to know better your pokemons. Inside, you play. On your outside time, you try a mock-battle among them.
What you expect : rough-playing tempering them before a real fight against a wild pokemon or a trainer.
Reality :
Bubbles only knows water-gun. Hitting Apu with the move only makes your starter happy. The only thing he can do for now is a headbutt you identify as Tackle. But when he touches your Wooper, the goo shocks him.
Asking the Pokecenter nurse about how to take care of them, he assures you they'll be fine with rest and a good night of sleep - no needs for potions every day.
The following outside time is dedicated to play - simple things, like racing and red light - green light. Apu is way more competitive, but seems to really enjoy the playtime together
>Bond with both your pokemon increased.
At home, you gather supplies.
First aid kit? Bandage, Gauze, Plaster, Scissors, Tweezers, oxygenated water. Sadly, the "No-Pokémon" households implies a lack of potions, antidote, antiburns, and the like.
Food? on one hand, you find very little that can be used as emergency ration - mom loves cooking and fresh products. On the other hand, you gaslight her to get spare kibbles.
>8 days of Water-type kibbles
>8 days of Fire-type kibbles
>2 days of Human food.
You'll have to forage, eat freely at pokecenters, or go to the restaurant quite soon.
Clothing however is an issue. Almost nothing fits you anymore, and you destroyed your favorite trekking trousers.
>1 spare set of cloths
At leas you have outdoor supplies...
>Utility knife, string, 15 meter rope, sleeping bag, flint stone.
No tent nor cooking gear - you weren't allowed to spent the night out. The sleeping bag was a sneaky buy from Mom's substitute at Petalburg's shop.
And most important...
>Money
Between a generous allowance and a few tech jobs, you're kinda loaded - for a 13 year old, that is.
>Money will be naratively tracked; I won't beancount it.
>Nobody voted for toolbox
When you want to bag your toolbox, you find it missing. Of course. Grounding would not be complete without suppression of what makes you happy while inside.
Time to leave the nest.
>Alone
>With Danny, Matthew and Amelia
You're leaving...
>West road. Fields, then Aemilius pass
>North road. Rocky cliffs above the Silt river
>Through SKTN.
