>>5763534No, that website is a compilation of all the terminals on all the original Marathon levels, plus various lore analysis pages.
I played but did not complete it. I was mainly very impressed by the terminals from it, I think it has a very interesting story and aesthetic.
You play as the Security Officer onboard the Marathon, where the ship-borne AI Durandal has progressed through the stages of rampancy (melancholy, rage, envy) to take control of the ship. You then aid Durandal (not exactly a SHODAN type of AI, a bit less nasty) as the ship is also under attack by the alien race of the Pfhor.
"Until now, I thought myself immortal, but now I know that is not true. There are things that can destroy me with the ease that I slaughtered the Pfhor naval garrison and the Western Arm of their Battle Group Seven."
I didn't know they were coming out with a new game in the Marathon universe. Hopefully it's not trash, but I don't know how they can keep the spirit of it after >20 years. Who even knows what the old Marathon was about in Bungie?
