This has caused so significant a divergence they are now a new, competing species: The Fumble Eaters, and currently a much smaller population but are growing faster in number. Worryingly, both species recognize the other as food and their packs are killing each other when encountered. This means that in effect, the Flounder Feeders are now in competition for the status of apex predator and will have to play to their strengths if they hope to drive their recent cousin to obscurity before they do them first.
