The Psyops had a lot of personnel at the time of me thinking this, but they were still disorganized, at least the military arm of my faction. I would need to have a sit down to help this structure better, so I called Hale and Regis up to the command center to talk this through.
They had many things to give me in terms of suggestions. For example, we had no standard battle dresses or uniform codes, and while Hale's company, Felwischer, produced lots of guns for us to use, we'd have to decide just how armed the tiers of these men would be. For example, we couldn't go giving Field Agents machine guns... but we'd still have to give them something from Hale's large armory selections.
Kurt did urge me to consider first how the Heer and Samurai structured their men.
The Woldorian Regiments typically went by the Regimental Standard System's ranking system. Some Regiments had different ranks than others, but most of them all had the same ranks. The higher ranked a Heer trooper was, the better armed and armored they came.
[KURT] "Don't think for a moment that while Woldorians still look the part of knights from antiquity that they'll be any less deadly. When I told you about my favor of unconventional warfare, it's more that I was confronting a problem with tactics. A Woldorian in full steel plate would survive a surprising amount of bullets until one pierced the sternum. I've seen the bastards clash their steel blades with the vibrational swords of Samurai without being cut through instantly. It's the blessing of Woldor. Because Heer men are enthusiastic about war, they exhibit properties of the... unnatural."
[KURT] "Still, there's about ten Heer Soldats for every Samurai Retainer. They undoubtedly have an edge thanks to Chemical Immortality. Superior strength and speed and reflexes. But in the end, when it comes down to one Samurai versus ten Heer Soldats, the innate bullet-proof armor of the Samurai will matter little when they drown in bullets. Eventually something weak will be hit and they'll give out. Eventually, one of those bullets will be blessed enough by the Warcall to pierce bullet-immune armor."
'The Warcall?'
[KURT] "Wars are loud, and not just from gunfire. Woldor hears battle cries. He honors them. Battle cries, war drums, horns, the sound of crackling artillery, blade stalemates... it all is the instruments of a great orchestra that forms the Warcall. They say Woldor hears every battle from high atop the Mountains of Yore, that his people get into. He spits on cowards and the tenacious make him feel tingly inside. He sheds his influence and presence on these battles. He lives in the calls of war. That's how Woldorians become a hardier people than they look. That's why the Trinity hasn't redrawn maps of the borders in a long... long time."
