The leaders of the Protavic warriors discuss these demands amongst themselves before they send Ditran of the Scapac, head of her family, to speak on their behalf. She tells the Goriwik envoy that our tribe shall honour their request – the beast-bringers shall withdraw and leave the painted men in peace, along with the sealskins that they harbour. However, she goes on to explain that the part that the Toprocravic played, how they initiated this conflict by killing a messenger and that if the Goriwik allow their sealskin guests to launch a counterattack from their territory, they shall be treated as enemies as well.
This news perturbed the painted man who speaks for his tribe, who promises to share Ditran's words with those who lead his tribe. It is difficult to say what the consequences will be, but at least for the time being, conflict has been averted. The Vuvovic are displeased, as they were eager for more bloodshed and another opportunity for their gory revelry, but they are convinced to turn around and begin the journey back up the river to the land that the Protavic have seized, along with the rest of our tribe's fighters.
After a couple of days of walking along the river's length, the war host is intercepted by a runner from our very own tribe, who says that the situation has changed – not only has the messenger who was sent to the Drocravic returned, but the Toprocravic have sent a messenger of their own. Both tribes are suddenly desperate to bring about an end to this war, thanks to the actions of the Rodac.
While our tribe's fighters claimed the territory north of the Choslitol and pursued the sealskins down its length, the Drocravic and Bodravic both sent warriors of their own to defend the territory of the Toprocravic on their side of the river. This was when the stone men struck – they have not only seized the land of the wood-burners, but the territory of the light-bringers as well. The southern side of the Croglatol has been almost completely dominated by the Rodac tribe.
Our warriors hasten their return. When they arrive at the territory that they have taken from the sealskins, the messenger who speaks for the Toprocravic almost begs for peace. The sealskins will not act against the interests of the beast-bringers again, nor will they ask for the return of their territory. As most of the sealskin warriors were slain in the battle on the northern bank of the Choslitol, the Toprocravic are now outnumbered by the fire-worshippers that they invited into their own territory, who they fear will turn on them if they don't get the opportunity to reclaim their own land.
