>>6208352As the Nachetar threat is banished from our realm, the Nixen and Anelks of Ordalan breathe a sigh of relief. But returning to their homes they now have to witness the damage. Damage of war, famine, banditry and the Nachetar. People are angry, and though they cannot muster the fight to make an uprising, resentment remains, for Leutgard, Avila, even Trude, and likely all the queens to come.
>Action 1: Labourers to Vitruvia, setting up a rubber tree plantation in their land. Repaying them for their aid in burning the Nachetar. As things quiet down, we have a debt to pay. Queen Trude had struck a deal with Vitruvia for their aid with the Rocs and their alchemical fire. The initial proposal was to send people to expand mining activity in Vitruvian lands, but that was some time ago and a better application has been proposed, the establishment of a plantation for some sort of rubber tree. The nobles gather plenty of the Nixen who has lost their homes in this war, those who wish to live in safer lands, and those tired of war in general and organizes an expedition across the mountain. The mountain is harsh but they are fortunate to have aid of Barza and Vitruvian guides, Rocs are especially helpful both in scouting the mountain trails and bypassing some of the harshest crossings. When the Nixen arrive to Vitruvia they are surprised by how humid and green the place is, more so than their homeland, despite being on the other side of a mountain. They have to learn plenty in how to handle these lands, taking the advice of the Vitruvians, but it wouldn't take long until they get some successful cultivations, then they expand from there. Of note is the sighting of Nix males in their numbers, as this is a stable population, meant to last.
>Action 2: Establish brickworks east of Sturnes, northwest of Emberglen. A more durable material to make homes out of.While there are plenty of timber and stone homes in Sturnes, most are made of wattle and daub, a cheap and plentiful material, but one that erodes quickly. As Nixen return to their homes, many find them crumbling or in ruin since they fled them. With timber dedicated to the military and stone expensive, a brick industry arises east of Sturnes, also supplying Emberglen, using clay from the riverbank.
>Military: Setup camp. Providing warm shelter as we resupply. While our offensive has been unsuccessful, that of our ally has split the Domo realm in twain. Their new fort means we cannot take their eastern farms, but with their western pastures taken, they will be feeling the pressure. In the meantime we will dig and fell trees to make more permanent shelter. With this we can have warm beds for our warriors while we take stock of our inventory and order replacement equipment as well as getting deliveries of food, firewood and clothes. This should limit our attrition for now.
