>More testing of Spirit! Delta, with someone else as a minder.
Delta's not really in much of a state to do anything, but with the assistance of Beta, you think you can get somewhere with this little test of yours.
"nngh." Delta can hardly look up to notice the giant, beating purple heart in front of him. "what the fuck is that."
"New PARADIGM. We got it from the giant red fella. Admin thinks you might have a unique reaction to it. Remember?" Beta nervously laughs, silently hoping the man isn't becoming delirious.
"fuckin' reddie" Delta tries to sit up but quickly gets stopped by Seneca, who keeps the man from exerting more than he needs to. Still, he reaches out and puts his palm against the heart. It sinks in, just like last time.
He pulls his arm out without any hesitation or resistance. A big, meaty red claw has replaced his arm. He grips it tightly, no reaction on his face, either not realizing what's going on or expecting this to be the result.
"you know what they call <span class="mu-b">freakshits</span> who spend all day resting?" His voice has dropped an octave or three. Sounds like he's chewing on gravel with how scratchy it is. "lazy fucking pussies, that what we called them." You swear you saw something poking from his forehead.
"Is, uh, he okay? Do we need to give him meds?" Beta looks over at the nurse. She's still processing Delta's arm suddenly transforming. Then, Delta stands up, pushing himself off of the bed with his claw arm.
"SIR!" Seneca waves her hands over at Emily to get her over to deal with Delta. The man's outfit is wrapped up in several dozen layers of bandages and other cloth wraps to cover his still-healing gut wound. Blood is already staining the freshly changed bandages.
"Delta, what the fuck are you doing? C'mon, you got to get some rest." Beta puts the heart on a nearby empty bed and grabs him by the non-demon arm.
<span class="mu-r">"Get the fuck out of the way, freakshits."</span> He begins walking over to the exit of the medbay. Even with three people try to grab and pull him back to the bed, he hardly even notices them. Or what should be the horrible pain of moving while still recovering from a nasty injury.
The four reach half way down the hallway outside of the medbay before his arm changes back and the moment it does?
<span class="mu-r">The scream of a man in absolute agony blasts through the speakers and into your eardrums.</span>
The four drag the now weak and not-anomalously affected Delta back to the medbay to fix up the wound he probably reopened. You just hope to whatever gods there are that no one heard that over the Freedom Rangers performing.
>The American Spirit aspect revealed: UNDYING (FORCE increases the more injured the employee is. Incapacitated and Critical Condition are ignored until the effect wears off.)
