You're still a boy. At least you retained your manly physique, ugly mutant status nonwithstanding. But you can't linger here looking at yourself forever, you've got an outside world to get back to and some questions for the people responsible for your situation. So you head towards the opening of yet another cave passage, eager to feel the sun on your face again.
"Are you absolutely sure about this, Marimo?"
"Shit!" You hiss under hushed breath. Those four-eyed eggheads must be coming down here! You find the nearest rock large enough to conceal your location, and listen intently to the approaching footsteps. Based on the sounds you hear, you can only guess that there's 3 or 4 of them approaching.
"The sooner we hunt down this creature, the more crops and people we save from getting burnt to a crisp." A stern voice says, most likely belonging to this "Marimo" person. "We've sealed each cave opening it emerges from and yet it keeps coming back to turn a village into ash. It has to be taken care of today."
"But why down here? Can't we just lure it out with something instead of fighting it in the dark?" A third, more nervous voice answers back.
"And let slip through our grasps again? That's not happening." Marimo states. "We ambush it here where it has no open air to run to. You and Mossa keep it restrained while me and Leto extinguish it for good.
You have no idea what they're talking about. Creature? Burnt? Maybe one of Carpen Lab's experiments got loose on backwater villages. The group of footsteps get closer. You might have enough time to get out of here before they get here, or you could stay hidden here and wait for an opportunity to sneak past them and get further to the exit.
A third option flashes in your head. These people messed you up and threw you down here. You could pay them back in violence. Only fair, right? No matter what you do though, you'll be risking detection.
Now what?
