Fulgrim tried to answer but Horus was the first to the punch, “There is no need to fight in the War Room Brothers. The War is outside of these walls, not within this palace. Imagine what your Legions would think if they saw this.”
“They would be cheering me on!” Laughed Leman as he saw a good game when there was one.
Against the laugh of his brother Fulgrim had a good amount of mirth within his voice, “Do not play such words against me Horus. I know I will win against Leman.”
“You hear that Horus, that is a boast! I cannot be King of Fenris if I do not answer this boast.” Leman Russ answered back.
“Brothers, brothers.” As if the conversation was not crowded enough Vulkan, who was one of the few who decided not to run to the situation finally came around, “No one doubts each of your fighting prowess! Both of you are wonderful duelists I am sure. But any minute now our Father will arrive, I do not wish to sadden him with the sight of his sons bickering.”
“Leman, I admire your strength but we are not here to prove anything. Leave that for the battlefield.” Rogal Dorn said as he patted his brother on the shoulder.
“There is no need to fight this fight Fulgrim. You are the best swordsman I know but no need to prove that today.” Horus whispered to Fulgrim in a tone that only TalOS caught thanks to his augmentations.
“I cannot take this insult lying down! Let it be from TalOS or Leman I do not care!” Fulgrim announced as he gave hard worn gazes in each of their directions.
Of all the things to happen, TalOS felt temperament anger with this. Still employing a time sense matrix and his Machine Spirits, TalOS counted all the positions of his brothers. Three were trying to dissolve the situation being Rogal, Horus, and Vulkan. Vulkan might be the only one who was unbiased, as Rogal was trying to make Leman realize it was not a time to have fun while Horus was trying to calm Fulgrim with sweet words.
Of those not active Gulliman was holding his nose, while Magnus looked on with a hint of amusement. Ferrus just looked annoyed at the entire thing.
If things were this bad then what would happen when all twenty brothers met? TalOS was sure the planet would face exterminatus because of it. What was his station though?
