>>5780854After a deep, dreamless sleep, Kessarion was roused by the gentle chime of the ship's proximity alert. Blinking his eyes open, he felt a fresh surge of clarity and determination from his earlier reflections. He rose from the bunk and made his way to the cockpit where Mariada was already at the controls, guiding the ship towards Toprawa's orbit.
Almost as if on cue, the ship's communication system chirped to life. "Unidentified vessel, this is Toprawa planetary control. State your purpose and provide identification."
Kessarion moved swiftly to the cockpit, where Mariada was already prepping their response. He handed her the false identification, a small holographic chip given to him by his cousin back on Serenno. Mariada inserted it into the ship's console and transmitted the data.
After a few moments, the voice returned. "Acknowledged. Clearance granted. Please proceed to your designated landing zone."The ship descended smoothly through the atmosphere, revealing the lush landscapes of Toprawa. Their course was set for the northern continent, a sprawling expanse of greenery and developed regions. The mansion Kessarion sought was here.
The jedi felt a flutter of anxiety, hoping Lorrha had received the information he sent her about the landing protocols and the fake identification. If all went as planned, she would be cleared for landing just as seamlessly.
As the ship touched down in a secluded clearing not far from the mansion, Kessarion took a moment to gather his thoughts. The next steps were crucial.
The verdant surroundings enveloped Kessarion and Mariada as they disembarked from the ship. They ventured forth, embarking on a brief hike, with the approaching dusk casting long shadows on the landscape. As they ascended a hill, the mansion loomed into view, its towering presence dominating the landscape.
With tall spires, arched windows, and intricate stonework, the mansion was an architectural prowess that transcended time and style. Its darkened stone and imposing stature gave it an aura of age-old elegance and nobility.
As they approached the gates of the estate, they were greeted by the gleaming form of a protocol droid, its polished metallic surface reflecting the dwindling twilight. "Greetings, Most Noble Master Galat. It is an honor to welcome you back," the droid intoned, its voice polished and precise, evoking the mannerisms of an aristocratic butler. An inscription on its chassis read 'LD13', but Kessarion recognized him instantly.
"Lord," Kessarion greeted with a nod, causing Mariada to raise an eyebrow in curiosity.
"Yes, Most Noble Master Galat, I am designated LD13. However, many who are acquainted with me refer to me as 'the Lord'." The droid bowed slightly. "It has been some time since Count Dooku transferred my services to this mansion, and subsequently, to Master Reus."
Turning to Mariada, Kessarion said, "Lord is one of the most sophisticated and reliable protocol droids I've known. We can trust him."
