>>6260999“I think I’ve broken the news enough times already, you go ahead Cocoa.” you tell your girlfriend with a smile.
She nods, then takes both your hands in hers, glancing back at Lime. “Well… it was very unexpected, but as of this morning, Peppa learned that she’s become a dad.”
Lime stares blankly, while Coco blushes brightly, holding both hands in front of her face. “Wh-wh-wh-wha…?” the younger girl stammers.
“...So I might not have the BEST grades in biology but uh.” Lime squints a bit. “Is this like, an adoption thing? …Are you even old enough to do that?”
“No, no. No adoption. It came as quite the surprise to me as well.” Cocoa says with utter sincerity, kinda milking the growing confusion on Lime’s face for all it’s worth, your friend now flustered by the news. “I will say I was ready to slap the person that I thought caused our little… new bundle of joy to come into the world.”
“Yeah, she did say she would slap Towa.” you confirm. “But, no, this was no scheme by hers.”
“Still will if she lays a hand on our girl.” Cocoa adds. You love your girlfriend so much.
Lime takes a moment to really process all this new information. “Okay that’s at least BETTER context, but…”
“Let’s find a place to sit to really explain all of this.” Cocoa suggests, with you just following her lead. As you do though, you look around the village some more. It IS really nice, out of the way but with a strong little community around it still, a nice little halfway point between your home up in the mountains and something like true city living. You get out your sketchpad and make a few little drawings of the landscape, it does feel like a really nice place to live, preferable almost. Eh, something to think on when you’re older. Heh… you also realize you have made quite a few sketches recently, might want to organize them a bit better some time.
And so as Cocoa recounts more of the specifics of what you told her, with you sketching out some storyboards for the girls for some dramatic effect, Lime is eased a bit and has… both less questions than she did, while still a number more new ones. Coco on the other hand is enthralled by it, as if listening to a proper storyteller, enhanced all the more with your storyboard sketches. Lime sits back a bit, exhaling deeply.
