>You tighten your grip on Ashe’s hand, moving close enough that you can feel his warmth on you. “Maybe you can be the one that writes it?” Your heads move closer together, and before you know it, your lips meet. You’ve never kissed anyone before, but it all comes naturally to you. As your lips part, you stare each other in the eyes, the look on Ashe’s face sending your heart aflutter.“Should we go back to the ball? The others must be wondering where we’ve gone off to.”

A few days later, you find yourself sitting in class with your fellow officers, waiting for Professor Byleth to arrive. Given all the action you’ve been involved with the last two months, you’re enjoying the quieter change of pace, catching up on plenty of studying and reading. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. While there was originally no mission slated for this month, you’ve received word that you’re to be briefed on an upcoming emergency operation scheduled for a few days from now.
