"Bravo!" A familiar voice calls out, causing everyone to jump. looking to the doorway, the group sees the Jester posing in the doorway. Now though, he is donning an impressive crown and robe royal. "The sweet, melodious laughter of my daughter! You've done it Hans!"
Forgetting Kamiko for the moment, the Princess angrily yells, "There you are! Where have you been?"
"Sizing up your suitors, honey. Seeing if they deserve your hand in marriage." The Jester King says. Spotting the broken piece of machinery he asks, "Why, what happened here?"
After the Princess and your party explain the circumstances the King says, "A dastardly shapeshifter... Well, such bravery, strength, and comedy more than proves your worth!"
"A-are you sure dad? Maybe we can give it a day to think it over?" The Princess suggests, leaning in closer to Kamiko.
"Nonsense! You are to be wed, immediately!" The king says with a sharp double clap.
Reality around you seems to blur and bend, and suddenly you finds yourself standing on the sidewalk among a yelling and cheering crowd. Looking around, you see you are holdnig a small bowl of confetti. Seeing the message on the back of the stage coach it makes it clear what just happened.
It says "Just Married."
As the coach takes off, you spot Kamiko and the Princess through the back window. Your co-worker is still dressed the same, but the princess has a wedding dress on, though entirely in black. As the horse drawn carriage clops it's way down the street the crowd cheers and throws confetti.
Tamako, who is standing by your side beside Hilde comments, "Hans is so lucky. I hope I get to find my one true love."
"The youngest being wed before my two eldest, disgraceful." Zul says form your other side, shaking her head.
You ask if the story is over.
"It seems like it?" Zul says shrugging, "Like I said before, you see the guardian of the story at the beginning and at the end. We'll know for sure if the glamour starts to fade."
Before you can ask what that means, you notice a few of the crowd around you slowly morph into small balls of light, which then seems to disappear just a few seconds later. The buildings and sky around the sidewalk start to distort strangely, and you notice you are wearing your original pair of shoes.
