If Bernard was teleporting as many people as you think he did at such a far distance from the warehouse, then it isn’t all-that surprising to you that he really is out for the count.
You should get him somewhere comfy, you think. Bernard pretty much earned it for all the heavy lifting he did, teleportation-wise.
Hefting the blonde up in a bridal carry, you make for the new loft at the end of the warehouse– the one that Bernard wanted to build by himself. On it, there’s already an old mattress with springs bursting out of its sides as well as a few of the blonde’s T-shirts.
However, you find that the loft is occupied by one of the captives: a kid who looks like he just stepped out of that <span class="mu-i">Meinkraft</span> game.
He’d been setting down new planks of wood on the half-finished platform, but your sudden arrival causes the kid to whip around, looking like he just got caught with his block-hand in the cubical cookie jar.
“No, keep doing what you’re doing! I’m just bringing Blink somewhere to sleep.” You tell the kid, who looks a whole lot less tense after those words.
