The last half hour has been a complete blur to you, emotionally and mentally. You want out of here ASAFP. You can still visit the rest of the district but FUCK. You're learning WHY this place was abandoned.
"So. I don't feel like messing with a piano. You got five guesses as to where we're heading to next."
"Spores?"
"'pores."
"Spores! :)"
"Ew, spores..."
"Hmmm, spores..."
"Exactly."
"It would be an excellent place to me to restock. I can only stretch out my personal stash so far."
"I get that anomaly spores might be cool, Benny, and I trust you to make it safe but..."
"It'll be fine, Max. Trust me."
Your allies don't really seem to care about where they go as long as they get the FUCK out of here. You don't really blame them, you imagine trying to justify any future exploration here is a stretch. Well, unless Seath tells you something REAL neat about this place.
The six of you step outside of the breakroom, each person trying their best to ignore the trail of sticky blood leading back towards the entrance. You're about to start your trek to CONTAINMENT CELL B3-ARTIFICAL-MIXED when your foot catches on something.
You look down and notice two odd corpses laying limply on their sides. The corpses are of two round, almost spherical creatures made out of a mixture of green moss and orange mold. They have tiny stubby legs and MASSIVE fucking mouths that take up basically all of their body.
Two giant holes in their sides have caused most of their body to cave in; Whatever these things are? They're not durable in the slightest. One revolver bullet was enough to drop them on the spot. Their bodies are still twitching as if they're alive, however. Creepy.
"Oh, yeah, Benny and Maxy dealt with some of these. They're not corpses by the way! They're still alive."
"Bullshit. They got a hole the size of my head in 'em!" Clover is insulted at the implication that he didn't one-shot them.
"Well, we tried beating them up. I used a heavy book while Kiara stabbed one with her knife." Max groans as she recounts their experience. "They would keep getting back up. Fire's the only way to put them down for good."
"Which is why I'm SO glad to have a WONDERFUL FIREBUG LIKE BENJAMIN!" Max shakes her boyfriend's shoulder with a LOT of force. Small puffs of ash are blown into the air with every successive shake. "No but seriously. Take our word for it."
You take her advice and promptly stomp your foot down onto the creepy mold dog-things a few times for good measure. The moss/mold mixture takes more and more force to damage with each stomp until it's like trying to stomp down on a lead brick.
You'd guess about 80% of the body is pulverized until you can't damage it anymore. And it's still twitching.
Seems like if anything, though, Clover can stun them long enough with his gun for your group to mop them up.
"Can I say I hate it 'ere?" Clover murmurs out. Everyone chirps out a chorus of 'ditto's and 'absolutely's. Best to keep moving.
