You decide to pick up Blondespeak while you are here. The language of these people is unusual; while most people speak in the language of the Mainland after the colonial era, the geographic isolation and cultural uniqueness of the Blondes has kept them isolated. You don't hear any loan words- only except the concepts and names of nations that didn't exist for the blondes centuries ago.
Interestingly, the blondes have many words for many things. Some even some allegorical. The biggest example is for their knives; knife-keeping is a tradition that is only found in the most rural of Jaxtians in the modern day; cooking and housework are only done with safety peelers or automatic knife-machines; knife ownership is illegal because they can be used as weapons. But the blondes don't have a word for "knife", they have two words. They use "Clean" or "White" to mean one knife, and "Unclean" or "Black" to mean a different. The white used in home and for cooking, and the black used in the field, for hunting, and for fighting other tribes. It's an interesting historical fact- a sort of self fulfilling prophecy. Like living things, concepts like that evolve through selection pressures; tribes who adopted that tradition would face less sickness and infection at home while making their enemies suffer more, and as such it would eventually spread to all the blonde tribes.
Of course, learning a language isn't easy, and only being immersed in the native culture do you even get a taste of it. It is one such day near the village you come near something you didn't expect- a tiny, feeble bird fallen from the nearby try. Its nest had been loosed by a wind storm, maybe, or a thrown stone- it is impossible to tell. The poor thing is starved and looks at you without even an attempt to run away- have you imprinted upon it or is it too weak to even try to escape?
You don't think the blondes would much care for the life of a bird; not that they would listen to you much anyway. You're only here as a guest- and only barely.
What should you do?
>Take the baby bird and nurse it back to health
>Leave it to die
