The hollow halls of the Dwarfen Temple were once again graced by its King. Four Dwarfs, Adok and the three ghosts who were left of the honor guard, walked at the front of the procession with the First King of Karak Kol upon their shoulders. They all sang a song together, one so strong that it resonated with even the soul of the Lizardmen who were the rearmost of the procession.
Upon arriving at the tomb, the body was slowly lowered into the casket. The stone sarcophagus that detailed this King’s finding of Karak Kol and the numerous battles against Daemons, Greenskin, and Elves that he had to commit himself to keep the throne of the Dwarfs warm. Each of these were scarred with blade marks as Skaven and Necromancer attempted to deface the achivements of their hated enemy.
Yet as the body was slowly lowered into the casket new markings began to glow. The warm power of Ancient Magic and Runes flowed through the casket as Adok and Tee-Nee-Tyny had worked to make sure that this would never happen again. The Dwarfs flipped the platform that they had been carrying, setting what was in truth the lid to the Sarcophagus onto the casket.
The image upon the casket was that of the King. The effort of the Ghosts to preserve their Lord’s features for the time when the Dwarfs come to reclaim Karak Kol. The eyes and markings upon this body began to glow as it settled on the stone underneath, the glow dissipating as the magics locked.
The two Knights who were standing behind the procession kneeled. Behind them was just Tee-Nee-Tyny, for the Rangers of Karak Ziflin had to return to their Karak several days ago. They could not wait for the work-caft of Adok to be finished when they had news to report.
As they kneeled the two Knights balanced themselves upon their weapons. Lucian with a black gold scythe that was fashioned from the dead forges of Karak Kol, and Gillot who bore the Cursed Sword of Nagash.
It was then that the ghostly voice of a Dwarf called out, “Knights of Bretonnia, you come before the First King of the Dwarfs to present an Oath to him. He who is with the Ancestors Grumni and Grimnir. As he witnesses, so too shall the Gods. Though them, yours shall hear.”
A loud slam from the Warrior’s ghostly axe rang out, “Speak it!”
