You pocket the PARADIGM into your inventory. No one will know you have it given everyone is either busy or unconscious. You'll definitely have to toy with this thing later when you get back home but for now, there's more pressing matters to address. A small voice in the back of your head screams as you pull out the trauma kit.
[UNSTABLE] HE'S THE FAGGOT WHO WANTED TO 'BE FWIENDS' WITH AN ANOMALY. WE SHOULD JUST LET HIM BLEED OUT, NICOLE.
[UNSTABLE] THAT'S THE RIGHT DECISION HERE. YOU KNOW THAT. IN YOUR HEART OF HEARTS. HIS FAMILY CAN HANDLE THEMSELVES WITHOUT HIM.
Family. It's hard for you to conceptualize your family name mattering. Your family name is completely generic and worthless. There's millions of them in every District. Yet, right now, a Smith has torn this man to shreds...and a Smith is going to bring him back to life. There's something incredibly funny about that. You chuckle to yourself on your walk over to your allies.
Maruyama looks up at you as you approach. "Look, we're busy." He grunts out. "Unless you got something important to say, go call your Handler or something." He really is trying his best here with the office papers in his suitcase. You pull out your trauma kit from your INVENTORY as Kiara starts to chastise Maruyama for his attitude, "Look, she's just- wait give me that."
She quickly snatches it from your hand before ripping it open to immediately start applying the supplies to Gregory's wounds. Maruyama takes a deep breath in before letting it out. His hostile attitude changes almost immediately, "Thanks. This is going to help a lot." He begins to help Kiara use the various supplies. "It's probably still going to take a while, though."
"I have to check something out anyways. Take your time."
With that sorted, you exit the filming building and start making your way over to the Producer's Office. It doesn't take that much time to end up in the kitchen area you had the encounter with the anomaly at. Aside from the torn up hunk of metal that was once a vending machine and a massive indent from where it impacted said wall, the room is oddly spotless now. There's hardly any dust or ash anywhere in here.
You pull out the key to the office out of your pocket. Sure, you could've easily lockpicked it but that would just waste time when you have a key. You push the door open and poke your head through.
It's about what you expect from an office. A few filing cabinets, a desk, a computer, and a VERY conspicuous book shelf at the back of the room. Seems like Audrey didn't care much for decorating this place. The fact there's a perfectly intact book that's very clearly made of metal tells you all you need to know.
[SEEKER OF THE CITY] You pull on the very obvious 'hidden lever'. You try your best to be surprised when there's a safe hidden behind it. Woo. This is beneath you.
You quickly input the code Gregory told you into the keypad. Time to see what VALUABLE LOOT™ you're getting out of it!
