“...” You quietly grit your teeth, worry running through your every vein, fear seeping in, as you lock eyes with this monster, you can feel every hair on your head standing up. You feel as if you’re eyeing death himself.
You would be right to run. The rules of nature dictate that the outclassed run when faced with an impossible challenge and you would do well to obey them.
But even so.
“Well?” He hurries.
“I’m not running.” You declare.
“...” You can’t tell what he’s thinking or feeling behind the mask, but you get the feeling he’s not all that shocked.
“This isn’t about saving my own ass. It’s about helping someone dear to me, about keeping a promise I made…” You list off.
“And now, it’s about making fuckers like you and all those like you face justice for what you’ve done.” You declare.
“Face…Justice?” Those words seem to pique his interest.
“I don’t know what the hell you people have planned for this country, for me or for my friends but you can goddamn bet I’m going to be right there, ready to stop you! Don’t forget that, I’m not running!” You declare.
“...Ha…Haha...” he responds with a slight chuckle.
"What's so funny?" You ask.
"You reminded me of someone. A man I used to know." He answers.
He looks up to the roof, "He was brave, whole-hearted and strove to do right by others and no matter what he had to stand up to injustice even if the odds seemed hopeless."
"Sounds like a great guy, what happened to him?" You ask.
"He died." He answers.
He looks back down at you, "And so will you it seems." He grows closely.
Fear runs through you, "S-So you're going to kill me after-all?"
"No. Not yet." he answers as stands over you.
"You speak with such confidence because you are still ignorant. You still don't understand how deep the abyss you challenge runs." he explains.
"But you will soon. And when you do, I suggest you take my advice and run." he advises.
“Or what?” You ask.
“Or you’d be a fool.” He answers, raising his foot in the air.
“A Damned Fool, just like the rest of us.” His foot drops.
Then the world goes dark.
The world once again turns pitch black.
