None of the other Xenos cities were able to survive after the collapse of the capital. It was likely in the nature of Psychic creatures as TalOS noticed that just like the Plastoids before each and every city became far easier to destroy.
At the Capital the attacks of the Titans were not able to pierce the shields of the city. However by the third city the shields allowed many stray shots to impact the city and tear through the buildings that dotted its landscape.
By the sixth city the shots would never fail to pierce the shielding.
TalOS had a theory for this and it became evident as the Xenos began to in drove beg for surrender. The less moral their sorcerers had the weaker their magics would become. This meant that when the legions were becoming close to swamped with prisoners.
+With the considerations in mind, we must consider the value of what we have collected.+ TalOS said as he sat upon the Command Throne of Particep Semper, +To my understanding the Gretch are only valuable in their reproductive habits and even then are not worth turning into Servitors. Thus we will get rid of all of them.+
+I will see if through.+ Announced the Magos who oversaw the collection operations, +If my analysis is correct this decision will grant us enough Corpse Starch to carry 40% of the horde.+
+See it done.+ TalOS told the Magos with a firmness in his voice.
With that that cohort left and another came in. The one TalOS had been waiting on for a little while as he needed to know it was safe to do so. The cohort was three Acillians and eight Skitarii and a single Skitarii Marshal standing above them all. The group of soldiers rolled in a large metal cage that contained within it a single creature.
If one was to identify it would be a terran slug from ancient times. Unlikes its brother and sisters in chains this one’s color was drained and its third eye was replaced with a mechanical shutter.
The Mechanicum leared quickly through certain events that the psychic ability of the Slugs originated within their third eyes. With this identified they began to either remove the eye or put a sort of shutter on the organ. The side effects were a lose of disposition and draining of color in the specimens. TalOS was sure many would have tried to commit suicide but without their psychic abilities they were little more than a Terran Slug.
