The final moves are quick and decisive. There's no more talking necessary. There's no need to think. You give the command and your employees spring into action.
This is what I deserve. A soldier's death should be honorable, memorable, never forgotten. A force that understands this deserves my strength.
It's quick. It's efficient. It's brutal. Two right jabs send Monifa sliding across the floor from the impact. A headbutt sends the Cluwne packing. A chomp damn near severs Isabelle's arm. Yet he doesn't have much energy left. Every attack causes more blood to ooze out of his weeping wounds.
Vincent slashes at him, only to get a claw to the face. Agent K stabs into the anomaly with her sword, only for the anomaly to send her packing with a body shove. Gamma stabs into the anomaly and...gets away, if only because the anomaly is so weak now.
The only one left is Delta. He charges at the anomaly and it charges back. Every last bit of strength America's Greatest Solider has is put into this final assault.
Two fists pierce deep into the other man's gut. Disemboweling the other in the progress. A final strength, a last assault, no limits. Delta, despite having a giant fist poking through most of his torso, keeps ripping and tearing until there is no more.
And then, Delta falls limp, with the anomaly's legs locked up. All out of energy. The others can only watch on in horror at Delta's guts spilling out onto the ground. You...don't how to feel.
You step closer to the two dying men. You're going to try saving Delta the moment this is over, you don't want another man dead, but you're not sure if it's already too late. Even if it is...
The demon looks up at you, holding onto the dying Delta in his hand. Delta chokes on his own blood but manages to make out a weak chuckle. "Godspeed, you bastard." Delta places his hands onto the arm piercing him. "Godspeed. Thanks...for the fight, pal."
"Godspeed too, bastard." The demon points a shaking finger at you. "You? You were pretty good too, kid. Thank you." A smile crosses the anomaly's face. He's crying tears of joy. "I felt dead for so many years but for the first time in forty seven years?"
"I felt alive. Thank...you." The demon's eyes close, his last movement being to bring Delta closer to him. He's still standing, even now.
"...You two were good. Real good." You nod respectfully at the two. "Perhaps even the best. At ease, soldiers." You see the demon's chest begin to slow down as a final hiss of air escapes his mouth.
Red Blooded American has died.
>[BOUND BY GLORY] All good men deserve to die with honor and dignity. It pains you to see a good man die a pitiful death.
The other fighters scramble over to try to save Delta, even if they're not in any real state to help or assist him. Spike quickly gets the medical team and their backup to escort the wounded to the medbay. You stay behind, having something you want to check on.
